Use Canva To Create Standout Social Media Posts

Design a weekly set of social posts with Canva AI and link each post back to your Leadpages page.

You need:

  • Canva account

  • Brand colors and fonts

  • Logo file

  • One short promise line for this week

  • Three support bullets

  • One product or mockup image

  • Your live Leadpages URL

Steps

  1. Pick one message for the week. Write a clear promise in one line. List three short bullets that support the promise.

  2. Open Canva and set your Brand Kit. Add your logo. Add two or three brand colors. Add your heading and body fonts. Save.

  3. Start a project with AI. Click Magic Design. Paste your promise line. Choose a style that fits your brand. Let Canva create options. Pick one clean layout with strong text and one focal image.

  4. Build the base post. Open the chosen layout. Replace the headline with your promise. Place one bullet under it. Keep the page simple.

  5. Improve text with AI. Select the headline. Click Rewrite. Choose a tighter version that keeps the meaning. Use short words.

  6. Swap the image. Upload your mockup or product shot. If the background is messy, click Background Remover. Keep the subject large and clear.

  7. Add an AI background if needed. Click Text to Image. Describe a simple texture or clean scene. Generate two or three results. Pick the most readable option behind your text.

  8. Tune contrast. Open Adjust. Raise the brightness a little. Raise the contrast a little. Make sure the headline reads fast on a phone.

  9. Create size variants with AI. Click Magic Switch. Choose sizes for Instagram square 1080 by 1080 and Story 1080 by 1920 and Pinterest 1000 by 1500. Let Canva reflow the layout.

  10. Fix each variant. Check line breaks. Raise headline size. Keep plenty of empty space. Make sure no words touch edges.

  11. Add a small brand tag. Place your logo in a corner. Lower opacity a little so it does not compete with the message.

  12. Place the action. Add a short line near the bottom. Use words like Learn more on my site or Get the guide. Keep it short.

  13. Export files. Click Download. Choose JPG for images. Export each size. Name files with the promise and the size.

  14. Prepare the post copy. Write one caption that repeats the promise in the first five words. Add one support line. End with your Leadpages link.

  15. Add tracking tags to the link. Append simple tags so you know where clicks come from. Use utm_source equals the platform name. Use utm_medium equals social. Use utm_campaign equals the weekly theme.

  16. Post the square on your main platform. Upload the image. Paste the caption. Paste your Leadpages link. Pin the post if the platform allows.

  17. Post the story size. Upload the 1080 by 1920 image to your story. Add a link sticker to your Leadpages URL. Place the sticker where it is easy to tap.

  18. Post the Pinterest size. Upload the 1000 by 1500 image. Use the promise as the title. Paste the same link with tracking.

  19. Save a template for speed. In Canva, click Save as template. Next week, swap the headline, image, and colors. Keep the structure the same so your feed looks consistent.

  20. Log results. After one day, note reach, saves, and link clicks for each platform. Save a screenshot. Use these numbers to guide next week’s edits.

Quick check

  • Headlines read fast on a phone.

  • Images show one clear subject.

  • Brand colors and fonts match your kit.

  • Each caption repeats the same promise.

  • Every post links to your Leadpages page.

Fix common issues

Text blends into the background: Add a light box behind text or raise contrast.
Design looks busy: Remove extra shapes and reduce to one image and one line.
Image feels dull: Raise contrast and clarity. Keep the subject large and centered.
Posts do not get clicks: Move the link higher in the caption and use the promise in the first words.
Story link hard to tap: Place the link sticker away from the edges and keep it large enough.
